Clerk - Tracking

The abovementioned vacancy exists at the Denver Intermodal Terminal. The successful incumbent will be responsible for ensuring that a Depot service is delivered according to customer requirements.

Minimum Requirements

· A valid Grade 12 certificate.
· Three (3) years’ experience in a Depot environment.
· Fully computer literate.
· Basic knowledge on shipping and containers.
· Ability to communicate effectively and build relationships with customers.
· Ensure warehouse service is delivered according to Customer requirements.
· Ability to work shifts.

Job Specification

Customer Care

· Keep customers/GI staff updated on status of Bookings.
· Report any tracking claims immediately to Team Leader/Yard and Gate Manager.

Tracking Control

· Capturing units into Tracking System on turn in and dispatch.
· Liaising with clients on their stocks on hand.
· Liaising with yard staff regarding units for bookings.
· Liaising with Admin staff regarding dispatch statuses.
· Sending stock reports on request.
· Assisting with tracking queries.

Administration

Ensure inward CTO is filed with system generated EIR.
Ensure outward CTO is filed with system generated EIR.
Ensure all filing is stored in the correct manner.
