Petra Diamons mine - Training officer vacancies


Job Description: 

The successful incumbent will be responsible for the application of the full training cycle in the Mining Discipline. 

Tasks and Responsibilities: 

 Train and assess Learners according to the legal requirements and satisfaction of the NQF & MQA directives 
 Do needs analysis, conduct training interventions and evaluate learners performance 
 Produce and maintain effective training results 
 Implementation and maintenance of ISO 9001: 2008 
 Coordinate and control all aspects of training courses 
 Develop and present mining training courses 
 Maintain safety standards with compliance to the Company safety programme 


Minimum Required Qualifications and Experience: 

 Grade 12 or NQF level 3 equivalent qualification 
 Blasting Certificate for Scheduled Mines 
 Registered Assessor or studying towards becoming an Assessor 
 3 years’ experience as Miner or Shift Boss 
 2 years’ experience in a Training Discipline 
 Proficient in MS Office 
 Valid Driver’s license

 Good verbal and written communication in English 
 Knowledge of relevant legislation 
 Coaching and mentoring skills 
 Assessment and moderation skills 
 Facilitation skills
