KEY PERFORMANCE AREA 1: Assist with Vehicle Inspection Report

Vehicle detail accurately recorded
Defects comprehensively recorded

KEY PERFORMANCE AREA 2: Assist with Interior Maintenance

Workshop safety regulations adhered to
Minimal material wastage
Secure all seats / driver seat
Check recliners, meal trays, arm, footrests and parcel trays
Secure all interior screws, nuts and bolts
Check door mechanism – adjustment and operation of door as well as door hinges
Check all cupboards and locks
Secure and ensure sealing of all inspection covers and engine covers
Check all windows
All flooring (carpets) are in good condition
Ensure toilet floor, drain, seats, basin and taps are in working condition
Check Velcro on seats for head covers
Ensure operation of opening windows, catches and seals
Ensure blinds and curtains are neat and in working condition
Ensure fire extinguishers are available and working

KEY PERFORMANCE AREA 3: Assist with Exterior Maintenance

Safety regulations adhered to
Minimal material wastage
Check door mechanism – adjustment and operation of door as well as door hinges
Check all cupboards and locks
Check luggage doors in working condition
Engine flap hinges, catches and stays are in working condition
Secure and ensure sealing of all inspection covers and engine covers
Check all windows
Check rear view mirrors, mirror arms and adjustment in working condition
Check manufacturers plate and passenger indication plate is available and visible
Licence disc is visible and valid
Reflectors and chevron board is in working condition and visible


KEY PERFORMANCE AREA 4: Assist with spray painting of coaches/trailers/non-revenue vehicles

Spraying area of instrument is properly cleaned, in working condition and prepared for spraying
Sanding is done correctly
Correct manner of spraying is done and no running of paint on sprayed area
Correct paint and color match is being applied

KEY PERFORMANCE AREA 5: Breakdowns

Obtain information about breakdown
Vehicle type and details
Location
Detailed description of problem
Problem analyzed and probable causes identified
Preparation made for breakdown recovery
Spares, tools, money, passports
Problem fixed without delay according to work standards and safety procedures
Report extent of problems outside own responsibility to Workshop Foreman / Operations immediately after assessing situation
Provide feedback and complete breakdown report
