To maintain good housekeeping of valve chambers, dewatering of valve chambers, opening and closing of manual valves when isolating pump sets and pipelines.
Maintain trench pumps, portable generators and hand held actuators and hand tools and make sure they are in good condition.
To report unsafe act and/or working conditions as any abnormalities to his or her Supervisor.
PRIMARY DUTIES
Operation of electrical and hydraulic valve actuators including large hand tools
Operation of portable trench pumps and generators
Assist in scouring of pipelines by means of diesel and portable pumps
Dewatering of valve chambers
JOB REQUIREMENTS
ABET Level 3 / Standard 8 with Maths and Science
Related cleaning experience will serve as an advantage
Candidate must be Physically Fit
Knowledge of water purification exposure will serve as an advantage
A valid driver’s licence and the ability to pass K53 test will serve as an advantage
