Acacia Operations Services (Pty) Limited is looking to recruit 2x Boiler Operator Assistants to work in Umbogintwini.Acacia Operations Services (Pty) Limited is a wholly-owned subsidiary of AECI, focused on providing a wide range of utilities and services to the Umbogintwini Industrial Complex.
Duties & Responsibilities
• Boiler operator assistant.
• Assists Senior Boiler Operator during shift work while his busy with sampling and plant duties.
• Prepares samples.
• Take meter readings periodical.
• Maintains good housekeeping of the plant.
• Daily cleaning of boiler house.
• Assisting during shutdowns.
• Receive and offloading coal trucks into the coal bunkers when necessary.
• Loading of chemical drums on to stand and salt into dissolving tanks.
• Maintains softened water plan by instruction of the boiler shift operator.
• Monitor water flows in to Effluent Plant.
• Take over responsibility of the Boiler Operator when an incumbent becomes incapacitated whiles on shift until supervision releases +- one hour.
• Reporting unsafe acts and conditions to Boiler Operator and Plant Superintendent.
• Comply with all safety, health and Environmental standards within Acacia.

Qualifications & Experience
• Matric.
• Minimum of 1 year boiler plant experience.
• Computer literate.
• Must be physical fit and good health.
• Ability to work in plant conditions without fear of heights or confined spaces.
