Job Description:

Adhere to Dis-Chem’s customer service policies and procedures
Establish a professional relationship with customers
Report customer complaints and compliments to the Frontline Supervisor, or store management
Adhere to the customer turnover hourly rate
Be aware of current sales and promotions
Ensure colleagues and customers are not exposed to any risk
Carry out and manage Dis-Chem 5 star communication principles
Be responsible for cash flow
Ensure all line voids and price changes are approved and signed off by supervisor
Exchange merchandise for customers and accept returned goods by customers, when authorised to do so
Transact all purchases – receive and process all payments (cash, bank cards, vouchers, coupons, other forms of payments) accepted by Dis-Chem
Process all loyalty cards including those of our accelerator partners (Discovery Health Care, Medihelp Lifestage, Momentum Multiply, Legacy Lifestyle, ABSA Rewards and eBucks)
Ensure cash is placed in drop safe according to Dis-Chem’s SOPs
Ensure usage of your code and password is restricted to only you; is safe; and is changed regularly
Ensure all outgoing stock/items/scripts are scanned and paid for
Ensure that that all money is strictly kept safely and securely inside the till
Handle daily takings confidentially, and only discuss with management
Be alert, recognise and report suspicious behaviour to management
Address queries regarding store merchandise
Adhere to Dis-Chem’s security policies and procedures

To support our customers we operate a Polymer Technology Services Center that provides research and development relating to polymer-related applications. ABOUT THE ROLE / PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

To execute the daily responsibilities in the operations of Base Chemicals' downstream nitrogen value chain in order to ensure Full Order On Time to our customers. To support the explosives portfolio's position as a strategic partner to Sasol businesses, leveraging it's role as part of the integrated value chain.

FUNCTIONAL OUTPUTS:

1.Receiving of orders from Customers
2.Confirmation on order with customer
3.Follow up on outstanding customer orders by 12:00
4. Hand order to Demand Planner and Depot Manager to sign as confirmation on product availability, transport availability and driver assignments done, receive order back
5.When systems are down, manual delivery note list to be checked to customer order number if it was delivered already to avoid duplication
6. Hand SAP loaded order over to Shipping clerk
7. Create or change Stock Transport Orders eg Ekandustria product
8.Confirmation to Supplying factory that STO was send and received by them (File printed PO and Confirmation)
9. Create Outbound Dlv. with Order Ref. (Print delivery note
10.Update delivery note list and make copies of delivery notes as back up
11. Print Dangerous Goods Declaration
12. Print Freight summary
13. Four way check of Sales clerk, Shipping clerk, freight controller and product availability (Depot manager or stand in Assistant magazine master. All individuals sign relevant documents when confirmed correct)
14.Receive previous day delivery notes (POD) from 3rd party and own transporters and follow up on missing returned delivery notes
15.Place all returned delivery notes in the T.B.D file in number sequence
16.When system is down comply to Manual delivery requirements
17.Update delivery note list with invoice numbers towards the end of shift (Document Flow on Sales orders and Shipping notes) and supply reasons to the outstanding Post Goods Issues and mail by end of shift to head office
18. Purchase Requisitions
19.Compare production report to actual documentation with production clerk, sign off and file.
20.Compare Received delivery notes to Good received list to balance out, fax Received delivery note to relevant site or confirm quantities via e-mail ie. Eka or Sec.
21.Receive back flashed product to confirmed quantities
22. Product received from Depots ones posted correctly
23. Post Goods issue the POD and stamp as posted, place in the completed delivery note files
24.Stock balancing by the 10th of the next month of Physical vs SAP as per reconciliation sent by Head Office
25.Ensure all product in transit from supplying plants are received
26.Send all deviations found on stock balancing with supporting documentation to head office and follow up on corrections done.


JOB REQUIREMENTS

Minimum entry Qualifications: Grade 12

Experience:

Required entry Years of relevant experience: At least 5 years’ experience, preferably within a supply chain explosives environment
Proven experience in Supply Chain Outbound administration
Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Powerpoint, Word)
