Overview

We are looking to recruit a permanent Receptionist – to work for United Pharmaceutical Distributors (UPD). The role will be based at the Johannesburg, Rooderpoort Branch and will report to the Human Resources Manager.
Purpose and Objectives

Job Purpose:

Responsible for managing the reception area and providing secretarial, clerical and administrative support in order to ensure that customer service are provided in an effective and efficient manner. Projecting a professional image at all times

Job Objectives:

Receive and answer incoming customer calls promptly.
To adhere to UPD SOP’s during the process of answering the customer’s calls
To transfer calls to the required extensions
Provide office support services in order to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of the branch
Performs clerical duties
Performs receptionist functions
Support the Human Resources Manager and other staff
To Assist in Customer Service functions
Ordering of Stationary & Packaging Materials
Make sure documents gets sent to JHB Branch (Twice a Week)
To request Purchase Order numbers from Finance Department

Requirements

Experience and Education:
Matric or NQF level 4
Minimum 1 year relevant customer service experience
Minimum 1 year switchboard / receptionist experience.


Job related knowledge and skills:

Office administrationPharmaceutical.
Understanding of relevant legislation, policies and proceduresStaff management
Knowledge of computers and relevant software applicationsExcellent computer skills
Knowledge of customer service principles and practices
Keyboard skills

Competencies

Decision making skills
Effective verbal listening communications skills
Computer skills including the ability to do spreadsheet and word processing
Time management skills
