Purpose of job:
Mechanical Maintenance of equipment and Locomotive.Required outputs:
Prepare equipment for inspection
Report deviations and defects to Foreman.
Assist Mechanical Artisans/Diesel Artisans in daily activities.
Good Housekeeping and high Safety standards
Qualifications and expertise required
Grade 12 with Maths & English or Physics (Must)
Valid driver’s licence (wish)
Specific experience required
Basic mechanical maintenance experience
Preventative maintenance execution
Technical skills Interpersonal skills
Communication skills
Team player
Self driven
Work under pressure with minimal supervision
Must be able to do physical labour
Time and safety conscious –
Ability to carry out inspections and complete defect reports
Knowledge of the Locomotives
