Export Administration vacancies - AEL


Job Description 

AEL is looking to recruit an Export Administrator to work in Modderfontein. To ensure that export orders are received, processed and invoiced accurately and on time. To provide an administrative and secretarial service for supply chain.
AEL Mining Services, a member of the JSE-listed AECI Group in South Africa, is a leading developer, producer and supplier of commercial explosives, initiating systems and blasting services for mining, quarrying and construction markets in Africa and Indonesia. AEL is also the largest supplier of explosives technology and initiating systems in Africa.

Duties & Responsibilities 

• Ensure the processing and despatch of customer orders are correct and on time.
• Facilitate the resolution of customer queries.
• Non-conformance tracking and customer complaints investigation and reporting.
• Filing and administration.
• Process payments for the supply chain in line with Shared services processes.
• Perform administrative duties for the sales team.
• Collate sales related paper work related to the sale e.g. customs document clearing.
• Comply with Safety, Health and Environment standards.
• Communicate with logistics/warehousing and supply planning to ensure consistent updates to customers on all aspects of orders.
• Facilitate regular communication with internal and external stakeholders.
• Support continual business improvement.
• Comply with governance and established policies, systems, procedures and practices.

Qualifications & Experience 

• Relevant degree or diploma.
• Working knowledge of international trade, exchange control and shipping practices.
• Working knowledge of International Maritime Dangerous Goods requirements.
• Knowledge of sales order and billing procedures and processes.
• Knowledge of customer service principles.
• SAP knowledge preferable.
• Transport of Dangerous goods by air (IATA requirements) .
• Excellent understanding of the Safety and Health process.
• Intermediate skills in MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
