Requirements

Grade 12 or equivalent. 
Must be computer literate and able to work with Ms Excel and Ms Word for patient statistics 
Ability to handle confidential information. 
Good telephone etiquette, interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills. 
Must understand Batho Pele principles and Patients’ Rights. 
Experience in a hospital environment will be an added advantage

Duties

Collect all patient statistics (admissions, discharges, transfer in/out, absconds, RHTs and deaths) in the ward. 
Record and submit daily patient headcounts on manual registers. 
Ensure discharge forms and UPFS charge sheets are completed with correct ICD-10 codes and submit to the Admissions Unit for capturing timeously. 
Submit MHCA forms to all relevant stakeholders. 
Order stationery and other relevant consumables for the ward and follow up with Supply Chain Management. 
Attend to administrative functions at ward level (i.e. Photocopying, filing etc…). 
Co-operate with team members and attend ward meetings. 
Keep record of all received and delivered documents. 
Adhere to departmental policies and procedures. 
Perform other lawful duties as delegated by the supervisor.
