Apprenticeship Programme at Unitrans

Ubunye Mining Services a division of Unitrans Mining & Infrastructure, has a great opportunity for qualifying unemployed candidates to participate in a National Certificate: Diesel Mechanic Apprenticeship. Successful candidates will be subjected to assessments, interviews, reference and criminal checks, as well as medical fitness, prior to signing of. This opportunity is based in Richards Bay.

Responsibilities

Assist Artisans with repairs and services
Assist Artisans with tyre repairs and breakdowns
Contribute to the successful implementation of a good safety culture
Carry out any reasonable instructions from Supervision
Willingness to work shifts,weekends and public holidays

Requirements

Must be aged between 23 -35
Grade 12 Certificate with Mathematics & Science
N2 Certifcate from a TVET(FET) College with relevant subjects (engineering)
Experience working in the vehicle maintenance environment would be added advantage (Not a Must)
Willingness to learn and complete course within specified duration (both theory and practical)

Skills required

Technical and numerical
Ability to communicate
Problem Solving and trouble shooting
Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision
