ADT South Africa is offering an opportunity to join a Technical Learnership to 10 unemployed Matric and N3 graduates. This 12 month program.
Upon successful completion of the Learnership the candidates will be eligible to apply for roles within the business as Installation Technicians.
During the course of the program, the individual will be appointed as a Technical Learner and complete practical work as well as formal instruction on the following unit standards:
- Apply cabling methods
- Use elementary electronics as applied to electronic systems
- Configure an installation
- Determine installation requirements
- Explain the use of installed systems
- Install electronic equipment
- Provide Customer Service
- Assess threat for security installation purposes
- Determine and rectify faults in an installation
- Accommodate audience and context needs in oral/signed communication
- Interpret and use information from texts
- Use language and communication in occupational learning programs
- Write/present/sign texts for a range of communicative contexts
- Apply knowledge of statistics and probability to critically interrogate and effectively communicate
- findings on life related problems
- Engage in sustained oral/signed communication and evaluate spoken/signed texts
- Measure, estimate & calculate physical quantities & explore, critique & prove geometrical relationships in 2 and 3 dimensional space in the life and workplace of adult with increasing responsibilities
- Read/view, analyze and respond to a variety of texts
- Use mathematics to investigate and monitor the financial aspects of personal, business, national and international issues
- Use the writing process to compose texts required in the business environment
- Write/present/sign for a wide range of contexts
- Demonstrate an understanding of intruder alarm systems
- Install a basic radio transmitter and antenna system
Requirements
- Grade 12 or N3
- Mathematics and Science at Matric level ESSENTIAL
- Valid Driver’s license ESSENTIAL as travel in the role is required
- Interest in a technical qualification and career
