Rand water - Process Laboratory Assistant vacancies

PRIMARY DUTIES

The successful candidate will be conducting sampling, perform analyses as well as inspection of filters, auditing of online instrumentation at the Water treatment plant at Vereeniging Pumping Station.

KEY PERFORMANCE ARES

· Conduct Sampling by taking of samples according to set procedures and safe working procedures. Cleaning and labeling of sample bottles.
· Perform analysis according to prescribed methods accurately.
· Inspection of filters. Record and report findings to Supervisor.
· Auditing of online instrumentation and reporting of deviations to the Supervisor.
· Compile reports and perform general administrative tasks.
· Monitor cleaning materials, lab chemical levels and make out requisitions.
· General housekeeping duties


ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

· NQF level 4/Grade 12 with Mathematics & Science or equivalent.
· 1 Year working experience in a laboratory environment.
· A valid Code B (08) driver’s license and the ability to pass the Rand Water K53 test.
· Computer literate
